The Buffalo Bills are opening training camp with Aaron Schobel on the Reserve/Did Not Report list while the veteran defensive end contemplates retirement. The move was announced Thursday, shortly before the team's first practice in suburban Rochester. Schobel did not report for the start of camp and has missed all of the team's offseason practices.

Aaron Schobel is considering playing one more year after the Buffalo Bills' leading pass rusher spent the offseason contemplating retirement. That doesn't mean he has made up his mind. Speaking by phone from his home in Texas on Wednesday, Schobel confirmed to The Associated Press that he intends to make a decision by the middle of August when it's time for his children to start school.

The Buffalo Bills have placed tight end Joe Klopfenstein on injured reserve a week before the start of training camp. In announcing the move on Thursday, the Bills provided no details on Klopfenstein's injury. Re-signed by the team in March, Klopfenstein appeared in only the Bills' season finale last season, when he had one catch for 11 yards.
